Potassium silicate additive for building plant defenses
Plant Guard is a potassium silicate supplement from GreenPlanet Nutrients used during the vegetative and flowering phases. The silicate increases the hardness of your plant's cell walls to support stronger yields and increase resistance to environmental stress.
DOSAGE:
- In conjunction with your feeding schedule, add 0.5 ml/L each time you fertilize. Stop 2 weeks before harvest.
CAUTION: Dilute Plant Guard separately before mixing with other nutrients.
Plant Guard is a source of liquid potassium silicate that promotes plant health and development throughout all stages of growth and flowering. Potassium silicate is a vital nutrient that plants use at the cellular level to build natural plant defenses through cell wall development.
Silicate strengthens cell walls for strong stems and branches that can support the heavy fruit produced during the flowering stage. This also means that more water and nutrients can be easily transported into the plant to promote faster, healthier growth. The solid cell development from silicate will increase the plant’s ability to withstand climatic stresses that can occur as a result of high and low temperatures. Since the plant uses silica to build cells, it becomes more difficult for pathogens like rust and powdery mildew to enter and disease your crop.
Unused silica accumulates in the outer layer (epidermis) of cell walls to prevent damage caused by pests. This product ensures that plants grown in hydroponics receive the optimal amount of potassium silicate to properly build natural defenses.
