What is the difference between the 77 and 150 block trays? The main difference is the size of the individual cubes and their density. The 77 block tray contains cubes measuring 35x35x40 mm, while the 150 block tray has smaller cubes (25x25x40 mm), designed for more compact starting of a large number of plants.

Is the size of the tray itself the same for both variants? Yes, both models use a standard tray with external dimensions of 53 x 31 cm. This makes them compatible with most standard propagators and greenhouses on the market.

Do I need to prepare the tray before placing the seeds in it? Yes, it is highly recommended to soak the entire tray in a pH adjusted solution (between 5.5 and 5.8) for a few hours. Mineral wool is naturally alkaline and this soaking stabilizes the environment for the young roots.
