It also offers a high cation exchange capacity, which means that it will slowly release nutrients back to your plan that it has absorbed during watering. Using PLANT!T Vermiculite can also aid propagation when used as a top layer, as it reduces evaporation.
Using PLANT!T Vermiculite also reduces plant stress in extreme weather conditions due to its insulation properties. PLANT!T Vermiculite is easy and safe to handle, odourless, lightweight and simple to use.

Usage standards:
- To increase moisture retention in peat substrates add 20-40% vermiculite.
- In bonsai substrates up to 50%.
- For building lawns: up to 5 liters of vermiculite per m2.
- In manure, compost, humus up to 20%.
- To improve the soil in the garden about 2-5l m2.
- When using vermiculite as drainage: place about 100-200 ml of vermiculite on the bottom of the pot for each liter of pot volume.
- To store bulbs, seeds and rhizomes, the seedlings are covered with 2 to 3 cm of vermiculite, thus it is protected from sharp temperature fluctuations rot and premature germination.
- Vermiculite is particularly suitable as a medium or additive in substrates for terrariums, incubators and aquariums.
