If you live in an area with "soft" water or use reverse osmosis water, then you may notice plant deficiencies in elements such as calcium and magnesium.
"Soft" water has less mineral content than "hard" water. The most important minerals that "soft" water lacks are calcium and magnesium. BioBizz fertilizers are designed to be used in medium hardness water that has an average level of calcium and magnesium.
This means that if they are used with "soft" or osmosis water, then deficiencies can occur. Calcium is vital for healthy cell walls and immunity against fungal infections. Magnesium is a vital component of chlorophyll. The lack of either of these two minerals is tragic for the plant. Also, calcium and magnesium can be "locked up" or made much less available if there is a lot of potassium or phosphorus in the root zone.
Most flowering fertilizers contain an additional amount of potassium and phosphorus for the needs of plants during the flowering phase. Adding a PK booster can make the situation even worse. BioBizz Calmag can be used for plants grown in any substrate. Note that BioBizz fertilizers are all natural and quite thick. This means that they are not suitable drip systems as they can clog them. They are best suited for hand watering in soil or coconut. BioBizz Calmag can be used in hydro systems as it is not as thick as the rest of the company's products. Be sure to keep drip fittings free of clogs.
- To use BioBizz Calmag, you must first add it to your feed water at the following dosage:
- To prevent deficiency in Hydro / Coco: 0.5-1ml / per liter of water
- To prevent deficiency in the soil: 0.3ml - 0.8ml per liter of water
- To correct the deficiency in Hydro / Coco: 0.5-1.4 ml per liter of water
- To correct the deficiency in the Soil: 0.3-1.2ml per liter of water
