How to manage microorganisms in a hydroponic system?

In water, their living conditions are not ideal, as they do not have the buffering capacity of the soil around them to protect them from drastic changes in temperature and pH. They also need to be fixed and cannot survive and reproduce so easily in this environment. They need to be highly oxidized with a lot of humidity. (If they are dry, they die.)

There are 2 ways to do this:

• On a moist substrate such as coconut fiber, rock wool or perlite: simply add BM directly to the substrate.
• On bare roots or expanded clay type drainage substrate: Use BioFiltre, which will give your microorganisms the right environment to live and develop.

Important note: A significant drop in pH is an alarm signal that indicates that a large number of microorganisms have died. In this case, it is important to find the cause, eliminate it and replace it with new BM.

Root stimulants help to promote faster and better root development. Roots are the most important units responsible for absorbing nutrients and anchoring plants to the soil. A good root stimulant keeps the root zone healthy and clean throughout the entire life cycle.

BM and SubCulture are two different products. SubCulture is used to eliminate pathogens in the root zone and helps break down organic matter in the solution. BM is used only to break down organic matter. If you are already using SubCulture, you do not need to apply BM.
