The ballasts regulate the voltage supplied to the selected lamp, to the working lamp and to ignite the lamp, creating a high-voltage pulse after the interruption of the starter current. They are divided into two types - electromagnetic and electronic ballast. The difference between the two is that the electronic ballast does not require a starter and is usually lighter and less heated. Other advantages are the quieter operation of the conventional throttle, the increase in lamp life by 30% - 50% and the reduced pulsations of light output.
Electronic ballasts alter the flow of light bulb current using a series of induction coils that are separated from each other. Unlike magnetic ballasts, they use an induction coil rather than a series of coils. The impulse delivered from the ballast to the lamp is faster, which reduces the energy consumption. Electronic chokes do not heat up during operation.

INSTRUCTIONS:
- To light a 250W lamp; set control to 250W and boost output by 10% by switching to 250SL.
