This is a very caustic liquid and should be handled with extreme care. Use Hesi pH up in conjunction with a reliable pH meter to raise the pH level of nutrient solution. If the initial pH reading is lower than that required by your specific crop, add Hesi pH Up. Start by adding very small quantities – drop by drop if necessary – and then mix the solution thoroughly before taking further readings. A pipette is useful for this purpose. Continue to gradually add more Hesi pH Up until the optimal acidity is reached.
