The pH testers are calibrated using pH7.0 (buffer) and pH4.0 (bias) solutions before each measurement. Calibration solutions should be stored in cool places away from direct sunlight and heat.

After the measurement is completed, the device should be rinsed with distilled water and stored. This can be done in the electrode cover or in a bottle, in either case keep the electrode moist with a storage solution which can be KCl 3.5M based or in buffer 4.
