Ballasts
Ballasts regulate the voltage supplied to the selected lamp and lights the lamp, creating a high-voltage pulse after a power outage from the starter. Divided into two types - electromagnetic and electronic ballasts. The difference between the two is that the electronic ballast does not require a starter and is usually lighter and heats less. Other advantages are a quiet operation of the conventional reactor, increasing lamp life by 30% - 50% and reduced ripple luminous flux.
