Sensizym is a non-certified organic liquid consisting of over 80 specific digestive enzymes that are used to break down microbes into a more digestible form.
The digestive enzymes found in Sensizym act as a catalyst to speed up the breakdown of dead organic matter. Dead organic matter in the root zone is a threat to your plants because it is an ideal breeding ground for disease-causing organisms. The enzyme catalyst allows a faster release of beneficial microbes, starches and carbohydrates in the root zone, and improves water uptake and nutrient absorption. Enzymes dissolve rotten roots and reduce the risk of disease, thus keeping the root zone clean and healthy. Sensizym, in general, turns organic "waste" into useful food, with the aim of cleaning the root zone.

What are enzymes and why are they important?
Enzymes are protein molecules that work as catalysts in the metabolism, for each task there is a special type of enzyme. Enzymes are small independent elements, they:
- Act alone, independent of cells, including extracts.
- They remain intact for a long time and their function can be repeated many times (sometimes days at a time) until they are exhausted.
- Old cells are removed and replaced with new ones.
- Rotting plant parts consume oxygen, so it is important to remove them from the plant. Enzymes break down these decaying parts to form an end product which is additional food for the root (dextrose).
