Swelling blocks for seeds and cuttings
A convenient and safe substrate for germinating seeds and rooting cuttings (clones). When watered, they swell and are ready to use. The blocks are reinforced with a biodegradable paper shell that keeps them intact while the roots can easily grow through it.
Instructions:
Fill a tray with 2.5 cm of water. The pellets will absorb all the moisture and expand to their full height of about 2.3-4 cm . It may take 30 to 60 minutes for the pellets to fully absorb the water, and in drier conditions, they may require more water to fully hydrate. If there is any excess water left in the tray, pour it out before planting the seeds.

The cloning process, like the rooting process, are two delicate stages in the plant life cycle. Therefore, it is an important task for growers to select the right products and technology to guarantee excellent results.
Landscaping:
After hydration, the pellets act as a pot filled with soil. Seeds are sown at the correct depth in the top of the pellets, usually with two seeds planted in each pellet, in case one of the seeds fails to germinate. However, covering the pellets with a layer of plastic retains moisture during germination, so the pellets do not need additional watering until the seeds germinate. Once seedlings appear, the plastic is removed and the plants require only basic care to continue growing well.
Seedling care:
Most indoor seedlings require six to eight hours of sunlight, so place them near a window. The peat mixture in the pellets retains moisture well, but the plants should be watered when the surface of the pellets begins to dry out . Pour an inch or two of water into the tray, which will allow the pellets to absorb the amount of moisture they need. Once the surface of the pellets is moist, pour the remaining water out of the tray. Jiffy Pellets contain fertilizer to feed the seedlings until transplanting, so there is no need to add additional fertilizer.
