Method of use:
Open the bag and pour the potting mix into a pot or similar container . Sometimes during storage and transport, the texture of the mix can become layered, so squish the mix in the pot to bring it back to its smooth texture.
Carefully separate the cactus from its previous pot, slightly loosen the root system and remove excess soil. You can then gently cut out any dead or unhealthy roots with a sharp knife or scissors. As always ensure that all cutting tools are properly sterilized before use to eliminate the chances of transmitting pathogenic bacteria or fungi.
Add a layer of Cactus Mix to the bottom of the container and place your cactus on top, carefully placing it into the soil before adding the extra potting mix to the side.
Water well without using nutrients. Keep your cacti out of direct sunlight and preferably in the shade for the next three weeks to allow the roots to grow. No nutrient needs to be applied at this stage as Cactus Focus Repotting Mix contains enough to last for up to 6 weeks.
